IBEDC INFORMS AND APOLOGIZES TO CUSTOMERS AND PUBLIC ON THE POWER SITUATION IN SAGAMU AND IJEBU-ODE
The Management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company IBEDC hereby wishes to inform and apologize to our valued customers in Ogun state especially in Ijebu and Remo axis for the outage they are experiencing in the last couple of days. The outages are due to sudden failure of some technical equipment at the transmission stations at Ayede, Ibadan and subsequently at Ijebu –Ode. The affected areas are mainly Ijebu-Ode,Ijebu-Igbo, Ago –Iwoye, Ijebu –Mushin, Ijebu-Ife, Ijebu-Itele,Waterside, Ibefun and Ogijo. This is in spite of the low allocation to Ijebu Ode Transmission Station from Ikorodu Transmission Station.
While the situation is undergoing a comprehensive technical solution, power shall be restored as soon as the faults are rectified. We are already collaborating with TCN officials who are the managers of this facility to ensure that the faulty equipment are fixed. Meanwhile we appeal for the support and understanding of our esteemed customer to be calm and law abiding as no protest or violence will resolve the situation. IBEDC is resolutely poised to ensure the restoration of power supply to all the affected areas soonest.
Our customers are the reason why we are in business, we therefore use this opportunity once again to plead for the utmost understanding of the situation. Adequate and prompt payment of bills is still a major factor in our collective well being. Please pay your electricity bills and report any act of vandalism, by –passing and energy theft that are inimical to our mutual overall goal and objective.
