ibedc news IBEDC Intensifies Crackdown on Energy Theft Partners with SIPTEO

Please note that IBEDC has commenced special compensation for eligible Band A customers affected by service shortfalls experienced between February and March 2026 due to gas supply shortages within the electricity value chain.

This initiative follows the directive by NERC and is being implemented in line with the approved compensation methodology.

🔹 Prepaid customers will receive compensation through energy tokens credited to their meters.
🔹 Postpaid customers will receive compensation through credit adjustments reflected in their subsequent electricity bills.
